Upon the mountain were You transfigured, and Your disciples beheld Your glory as far as they were able, O Christ our God; so that when they would see You crucified they might understand that Your Passion was deliberate, and declare to the world that in truth You are the Father’s radiance. Τῇ Θʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνὸς μνήμη τοῦ ἁγίου Ἀποστόλυ Ματθίου.	On August 9 we commemorate the holy Apostle Matthias.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῶν ἁγίων δέκα Μαρτύρων, τῶν διὰ τὴν ἁγίαν Εἰκόνα τοῦ Σωτῆρος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ τὴν ἐν τῇ Χαλκῇ πύλῃ ἀθλησάντων, Ἰουλιανοῦ, Μαρκιανοῦ. Ἰωάννου, Ἰακώβου, Ἀλεξίου, Δημητρίου, Φωτίου, Πέτρου, Λεοντίου, καὶ Μαρίας τῆς Πατρικίας.	On this day we also commemorate the holy 10 Martyrs who contested for the holy Icon of our Savior Jesus Christ at the Brass Gate: Julian, Marcian, John, Jacob, Alexios, Demetrius, Photios, Peter, Leo, and Maria the Patrician.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῆς Ἀθλήσεως τοῦ ἁγίου Μάρτυρος Ἀντωνίνου (ἢ Ἀντωνίου).	On this day we also commemorate the contest of the holy Martyr Antoninus (or Anthony.)
Ὁ Ὅσιος πατὴρ ἡμῶν Ψόης, εὐχόμενος, τελειοῦται.	Our devout father Psoes reposed in prayer.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ μνήμη τῆς εὐρέσεως τῆς ἀχειροποιήτου καὶ σεβασμίας Εἰκόνος τῶν Καμουλιανῶν, ἥτις εὕρεσις συνεγράφη παρὰ τοῦ ἐν Ἁγίος Γρηγορίου Ἐισκόπου Νύσσης.	On this day we also commemorate the finding of the venerable Icon of Koumoulianon, not made by hands; this event was recorded by St. Gregory Bishop of Nyssa.

Ἄγγελον εἰρήνης, πιστὸν ὁδηγόν, φύλακα τῶν ψυχῶν καὶ τῶν σωμάτων ἡμῶν παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	For an angel of peace, a faithful guide, a guardian of our souls and bodies, let us ask the Lord.
Συγγνώμην καὶ ἄφεσιν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν καὶ τῶν πλημμελημάτων ἡμῶν παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	For pardon and remission of our sins and transgressions, let us ask the Lord.
Τὰ καλὰ καὶ συμφέροντα ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν καὶ εἰρήνην τῷ κόσμῳ παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	For that which is good and beneficial for our souls, and for peace for the world, let us ask the Lord.
Τὸν ὑπόλοιπον χρόνον τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ μετανοίᾳ ἐκτελέσαι παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	That we may complete the remaining time of our life in peace and repentance, let us ask the Lord.
Χριστιανὰ τὰ τέλη τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν, ἀνώδυνα, ἀνεπαίσχυντα, εἰρηνικὰ καὶ καλὴν ἀπολογίαν τὴν ἐπὶ τοῦ φοβεροῦ βήματος τοῦ Χριστοῦ αἰτησώμεθα.	And let us ask for a Christian end to our life, peaceful, without shame and suffering, and for a good defense before the awesome judgment seat of Christ.

Holy Lord, who dwell in the highest and look upon the humble and observe all creation with Your all-seeing eye, to You we bow the neck of soul and body, and we pray You, Holy of holies: Extend Your invisible hand from Your holy heavens and bless us all. And as good and benevolent God, forgive us any misdeeds we committed voluntarily or involuntarily, and grant us Your blessings in this world and in the next.
