O Christ-loving people, let us piously extol the memory of the Unmercenary, the contest of the Valiant one, the cures of the Faithful one, so that we may receive mercy, and especially those of us who, like me, have defiled our temples, for he provides remedies for body and soul. From the Menaion.

On July 27, we commemorate the holy and glorious Great-martyr and Healer Panteleimon.

On this day the blind man who was healed by St. Panteleimon died by the sword.

The 153 holy Martyrs from Thrace died in the sea

We also commemorate our devout Mother Anthusa the Confessor, who lived in the most holy Monastery of Mantineus.

The holy Neomartyr Christodoulos from Cassandra, who witnessed in Thessaloniki in the year 1777, died by hanging.

By their holy intercessions, O God, have mercy on us. Amen.
