Bless the Lord, O my soul. Our wonder-working physician is here, yes, St. Panteleimon, curing everyone’s illnesses. In the contest he was steadfast, and now is earnest interceding with the Lord, for the salvation of our souls. How can we not marvel that you became the mother of the Son of God the Father, O all-honorable Virgin! You were wholly blameless, and you experienced no union with a man, and you gave birth to Him, unfathered in the flesh, who unmothered was begotten of the Father before all ages. He did not undergo any change or mixing or division, but He preserved intact the distinctive property of each nature. O Lady, we implore you, virgin Mother, to entreat Him for the salvation of the souls of all who profess the Orthodox belief that you are Theotokos. [GOASD]

It is the duty of all fans of holy martyrs to keep * the feast of Panteleimon, * named for mercy, and praise him. * By sympathy he strove to imitate the Lord * who alone is incomparable * in His compassion and mercy, and in return * he received divine grace from Him. [SD]

Verse: The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall be multiplied like the cedar in Lebanon. [SAAS]

You wisely studied the grace that was in your mind, O Saint. * You put it into practice, * and you thus found an entrance * to genuine contemplation of God, * and with Christ as your medicine * you healed and cured those who suffered from every kind * of disease and pain, O blessed one. [SD]

Verse: Those planted in the house of the Lord shall blossom forth in the courts of our God. [SAAS]

No one can worthily narrate * the painful martyrdom * that you endured most bravely, O Martyr Panteleimon. * You showed that no method of torture at all * could separate you in any way * from the intense love of Christ which bound you to Him, * who now glorifies you in return. [SD]
