Μνήμη Δικαίου μέτʼ ἐγκωμίων, σοὶ δὲ ἀρκέσει ἡ μαρτυρία τοῦ Κυρίου Πρόδρομε· ἀνεδείχθης γὰρ ὄντως καὶ Προφητῶν σεβασμιώτερος, ὅτι καὶ ἐν ῥείθροις βαπτίσαι κατηξιώθης τὸν κηρυττόμενον. Ὅθεν τῆς ἀληθείας ὑπεραθλήσας, χαίρων εὐηγγελίσω καὶ τοῖς ἐν ᾍδῃ, Θεὸν φανερωθέντα ἐν σαρκί, τὸν αἴροντα τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου, καὶ παρέχοντα ἡμῖν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.	The memory of the just is observed with hymns of praise; for you suffices the testimony of the Lord, O Forerunner. You have proved to be truly more ven’rable than the Prophets, since you were granted to baptize in the river the One whom they proclaimed. Therefore, when for the truth you had contested, rejoicing, to those in Hades you preached the Gospel, that God was manifested in the flesh, and takes away the sin of the world, and grants to us the great mercy. We have become partakers of divine nature through you, O ever-virgin Maid, since for us you gave birth unto God become incarnate. Therefore we all dutifully magnify you piously. [SD]

Conceived as I was in iniquities, I the prodigal dare not look up into heaven. But with confidence in Your benevolence, I cry out: O God be gracious unto me and save me. [SD]

Ἄῤῥηκτον τεῖχος κεκτημένοι πιστοί, τὴν Θεοτόκον Μαρίαν, δεῦτε προσπέσωμεν αὐτῇ· παῤῥησίαν γὰρ ἔχει πρὸς τὸν τεχθέντα ἐξ αὐτῆς, τοῦ πρεσβεύειν καὶ σῴζειν ἀπὸ ὀργῆς, καὶ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.	We believers have acquired an unbreakable wall, namely Mary the Theotokos. So, let us submit our petitions to her. We also commemorate the devout Fathers Dionysius the Rhetor and Metrophanes, who excelled in asceticism on the Holy Mountain of Athos, and specifically in Saint Anne’s Skete Minor.
