Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are magnified exceedingly; You clothe Yourself with thanksgiving and majesty, who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You are He who covers His upper chambers with water, who makes the clouds His means of approach, who walks on the wings of the winds, who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire. He established the earth on its stable foundation; it shall not be moved unto ages of ages. The deep like a garment is His covering; the waters shall stand upon the mountains; at Your rebuke they shall flee; at the sound of Your thunder, they shall be afraid. For with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption; and He shall redeem Israel from all his transgressions. [SAAS]

Let us honor those two divine * holy Martyrs with songs of praise. * They possessed the radiance of the Trinity; * they are the pedestals of the faith, the flowers that give the true * sweetest fragrance from on high * of the knowledge of God indeed. * Let us all extol * blessed Cyrus and holy John together, as they intercede without cease * with the benevolent Lord for us. Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; praise Him, all you peoples. [SAAS]

You were truly illustrious * in your life and ascetic feats, * glorious St. Cyrus, and later you adorned * your soul with contests of martyrdom. * And you, holy John most wise, * left the army here below * and instead joined the regiments * that are heavenly. * Now together, O blessed men, in earnest pray the Savior without ceasing * for us observing your memory. Let us theologically proclaim * that the Holy Spirit does from God the Father proceed, and He is worshiped in the Son; * through Him, all creation * is controlled and kept alive, * it lives and it continues to exist and it is also saved by Him. * O Paraclete incomprehensible, * we entreat You to grant the gift of peace to the world. [SD]

Verse: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. [SAAS]

The all-holy Spirit, as the well * of all goodness, has come down to all the ends of the earth, and He is here essentially; * and through the Apostles, * He fills it with the divine * benevolence and heavenly might and power. Let us pray to Him: * “O Paraclete inexplicable, * we entreat You to grant the gift of peace to the world.” [SD]
