Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are magnified exceedingly; You clothe Yourself with thanksgiving and majesty, who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You are He who covers His upper chambers with water, who makes the clouds His means of approach, who walks on the wings of the winds, who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire. He established the earth on its stable foundation; it shall not be moved unto ages of ages. If You, O Lord, should mark transgression, O Lord, who would stand? For there is forgiveness with You. [SAAS]

When by Your death You destroyed the reign and power * of death, You gave life eternal to humanity, * raising the human race with yourself, by Your descent and * glorious resurrection, O Christ our God. * Therefore we all sing to You our praise and gratitude * and celebrate the great holiday of holy Pascha, * the feast of Your third-day rising from the dead. * And now the middle day of Eastertide * has arrived and is shining on all us, * O life-giver Lord Jesus, and the benefactor of our souls. For with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption; and He shall redeem Israel from all his transgressions. [SAAS]

When you wounded the enemy * with the arrows of self-control, * you undid his forces and thus defeated him. * Thus for your victory you received awards from the Master Christ, * who had strengthened you, O Saint, * by His powerful grace divine. * Therefore supplicate * that He free from corruption and from dangers those who loyally now honor * your ever-ven’rable memory. When you went to the Temple about the middle of the feast, O Christ our God, You taught the people and said, “He who believes in me, even if he dies, shall live.” But the Jewish Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes were cut to the heart, and they said, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemies?” They did not consider that You are our God, before all ages glorified with the Father and Spirit.
