Bless the Lord, O my soul. The desert blossomed and produced you, O Father, as a lily. You breathe fragrance on all, because of your practice of the virtues; you are delightful, because of the wisdom you gained through contemplation; for you were capable at both. Being known as a perfectionist, you were selected from on high, and by your speech and behavior, by your deeds and your faith, you were pleasing to Christ our God. Entreat Him, O God-inspired Pachomius, that we too may please Him, and with you obtain a place in heaven. [SD]

The Cross was firmly planted on Calvary, and from the ever-flowing fountain of the side of the Savior, for us it blossomed immortality. [SD]

Verse: I lift my eyes to You, who dwell in heaven. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the maidservant look to the hands of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He shall have compassion on us. [SAAS]
