Γυναῖκες πρὸς τὸ μνῆμα, παρεγένοντο ὄρθριαι, καὶ ἀγγελικὴν ὀπτασίαν θεασάμεναι ἔτρεμον· ὁ τάφος ἐξήστραπτε ζωήν, τὸ θαῦμα κατέπληττεν αὐτάς· διὰ τοῦτο ἀπελθοῦσαι, τοῖς Μαθηταῖς ἐκήρυττον τὴν ἔγερσιν. Τὸν ᾅδην ἐσκύλευσε Χριστός, ὡς μόνος κραταιὸς καὶ δυνατός, καὶ φθαρέντας συνήγειρε πάντας, τὸν τῆς κατακρίσεως φόβον, λύσας δυνάμει σταυροῦ.	The women were at the tomb early in the morning. * When they saw a vision of angels, trembling came upon them. * The sepulcher was radiating life, and the dazzling marvel astonished them. * They departed and ran to proclaim the resurrection to the Disciples. * “Christ, the only strong and mighty Lord, * has divested Hades of its spoils. * He has freed the dead from fear of condemnation * by the power of the Cross and raised them all with himself.” [GOASD]

Εἰ ὁ δίκαιος μόλις σῴζεται, ἐγὼ ποῦ φανοῦμαι ὁ ἁμαρτωλός; τὸ βάρος καὶ τὸν καύσωνα τῆς ἡμέρας οὐκ ἐβάστασα· τοῖς περὶ τὴν ἑνδεκάτην ὥραν, συναρίθμησόν με, ὁ Θεός, καὶ σῶσόν με.	If the righteous man is only scarcely saved, what shall become of me who am a sinner? I did not bear the burden and the heat of the day. Number me with those who came at the eleventh hour, O God, and save me. [SD]

Ὡς καλοὶ στρατιῶται ὁμοφρόνως πιστεύσαντες, τὰς ἀπειλὰς τῶν τυράννων μὴ πτοούμενοι, Ἅγιοι, προσήλθετε προθύμως τῷ Χριστῷ, ἀράμενοι τὸν τίμιον Σταυρόν, καὶ τελέσαντες τὸν δρόμον, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ τὴν νίκην ἐδέξασθε. Δόξα τῷ ἐνισχύσαντι ὑμᾶς, δόξα τῷ στεφανώσαντι, δόξα τῷ δωρουμένῳ διʼ ὑμῶν, πᾶσιν ἰάματα.	O Martyrs, you agreed in your beliefs, and as good soldiers * you were not in any way frightened by the threats of the tyrants; * but taking up the honorable Cross, * O Saints, you came with eagerness to Christ. * And when you finished the course of the race, * you received the victory from heaven. * Glory to Him whose might supported you. * Glory to Him who placed the crown on you. * Glory to Him who works healings for all through you. Ἄῤῥηκτον τεῖχος κεκτημένοι πιστοί, τὴν Θεοτόκον Μαρίαν, δεῦτε προσπέσωμεν αὐτῇ· παῤῥησίαν γὰρ ἔχει πρὸς τὸν τεχθέντα ἐξ αὐτῆς, τοῦ πρεσβεύειν καὶ σῴζειν ἀπὸ ὀργῆς, καὶ θανάτου τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.	We believers have acquired an unbreakable wall, namely Mary the Theotokos. So, let us submit our petitions to her. For she has great confidence with her Son; she can intercede for us and save our souls, from the wrath and from death. [SD]

Τῶν θυρῶν κεκλεισμένων, ἐπιστὰς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τοῖς Μαθηταῖς ἀφοβίαν καὶ εἰρήνην ἐδίδου. Εἶτα λέγει τῷ Θωμᾷ· Τί μοι ἀπιστεῖς, ὅτι ἀνέστην ἐκ νεκρῶν; φέρε ὧδε τὴν χεῖρά σου, καί βάλε εἰς τὴν πλευράν μου, καὶ ἴδε· σοῦ γὰρ ἀπιστοῦντος, οἱ πάντες ἔμαθον τὰ πάθη καὶ τὴν Ἀνάστασίν μου, κράζειν μετὰ σοῦ· Ὁ Κύριός μου καὶ ὁ Θεός μου δόξα σοι.	The doors being shut, Jesus came and stood among the Disciples. He took away their fear and gave them peace instead. Then He said to Thomas, “Why the disbelief that I rose from the dead? Bring your hand here and put it on my side, and see for yourself. Now, because of your disbelief, everyone has come to know my Passion and my Resurrection, and they cry aloud with you, ‘My Lord and my God, glory to You!’” [SD]

Συγγνώμην καὶ ἄφεσιν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν καὶ τῶν πλημμελημάτων ἡμῶν παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	For pardon and remission of our sins and transgressions, let us ask the Lord.
Τὰ καλὰ καὶ συμφέροντα ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν καὶ εἰρήνην τῷ κόσμῳ παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	For that which is good and beneficial for our souls, and for peace for the world, let us ask the Lord.
Τὸν ὑπόλοιπον χρόνον τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν ἐν εἰρήνῃ καὶ μετανοίᾳ ἐκτελέσαι παρὰ τοῦ Κυρίου αἰτησώμεθα.	That we may complete the remaining time of our life in peace and repentance, let us ask the Lord.
Χριστιανὰ τὰ τέλη τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν, ἀνώδυνα, ἀνεπαίσχυντα, εἰρηνικὰ καὶ καλὴν ἀπολογίαν τὴν ἐπὶ τοῦ φοβεροῦ βήματος τοῦ Χριστοῦ αἰτησώμεθα.	And let us ask for a Christian end to our life, peaceful, without shame and suffering, and for a good defense before the awesome judgment seat of Christ.
Τῆς παναγίας, ἀχράντου, ὑπερευλογημένης, ἐνδόξου, δεσποίνης ἡμῶν, Θεοτόκου καὶ ἀειπαρθένου Μαρίας μετὰ πάντων τῶν ἁγίων μνημονεύσαντες, ἑαυτοὺς καὶ ἀλλήλους καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν ζωὴν ἡμῶν Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ παραθώμεθα.	Remembering our all-holy, immaculate, most blessed, and glorious Lady, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, with all the saints, let us commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.
