Ἀθλήσεως καύχημα, καὶ στεφάνων ἀξίωμα, οἱ ἔνδοξοι Ἀθλοφόροι, περιβέβληνταί σε Κύριε· καρτερίᾳ γὰρ αἰκισμῶν, τοὺς ἀνόμους ἐτροπώσαντο, καὶ δυνάμει θεϊκῇ, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ τὴν νίκην ἐδέξαντο. O Lord, You are the pride of the contest, the very dignity of the laurel crowns, which the glorious prize-winning Martyrs have put on as a garment. For by their endurance under torture they put the lawless men to flight. And by divine power from heaven they received the victory. Through their supplications set me free from the invisible enemies, O Savior, and save me. [SD]

Ἁψάμενος χειρί, τῆς πλευρᾶς τῆς ἀστέκτου, ὁ Δίδυμος Θωμᾶς, οὐκ ἐφλέχθη τῇ ψαύσει, ἀλλʼ ἔμεινε τοὺς μώλωπας, ψηλαφῶν ἀκριβέστερον, καὶ φθεγγόμενος, τῷ διʼ ἡμᾶς λογχευθέντι· Σύ μου Κύριος, καὶ σὺ Θεός μου ὑπάρχεις, κἄν πάθος ὑπήνεγκας. But to confirm him in belief from disbelief, You, O Good One, did not refuse to show him Your immaculate side, and the wounds on Your hands and Your feet. When he saw You and touched You, he confessed that You are not simply God and not merely man, and he cried, “My Lord and my God, glory to You!” [SD]
