To confirm the general resurrection before Your Passion, You resurrected Lazarus from the dead, O Christ our God. On April 28 we commemorate the holy nine Martyrs of Kyzikos: Theognis, Rufus, Antipater, Theostichos, Artemas, Magnus, Theodotos, Thavmasios, and Philemon.

On this day we also commemorate our devout father Memnon the wonder-worker.

On this day, Palm Sunday, we celebrate the resplendent and glorious feast of the entry of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

On this day we also commemorate our devout father Memnon the wonder-worker.

Master, as we, too, imitating them, carry Palms and branches on this eve of the feast, watch over us. Greater in honor than the Cherubim, and in glory greater beyond compare than the Seraphim; you without corruption gave birth to God the Word, and are truly Theotokos. You do we magnify.

May He who condescended to sit on the colt of a donkey, for our salvation, Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
