Ἐσείσθησαν, τὰ ταμεῖα τοῦ ᾍδου, ὡς ἐψυχοῦτο εὐθύς, κάτω Λάζαρος, τότε τῇ φωνῇ, τοῦ ζωώσαντος.	The palaces of Hell were shaken, when in its depths Lazarus began once more to breathe, straightway restored to life by the sound of Thy voice. [KW]

Martha and Mary, O Lord, cried out lamenting: “Lo, he whom Thou hast loved is four days dead and stinks. Ῥάνας, ἐπὶ φίλῳ δάκρυα, διʼ οἰκονομίαν, ἔδειξας τὴν σάρκα, τὴν ἐξ ἡμῶν ληφθεῖσαν, οὐσίᾳ οὐ δοκήσει, Σωτὴρ ἑνωθεῖσάν σοι, καὶ ὡς φιλάνθρωπος Θεός, τοῦτον εὐθὺς φωνήσας ἤγειρας.	Shedding tears for Thy friend, O Savior, Thou hast shown the reality of Thine Incarnation: the flesh that Thou hast taken from us was united to Thee in essence, not in appearance only. Οἴμοι, ὄντως νῦν ἀπόλωλα! ἐκβοῶν ὁ ᾍδης, οὕτω προσεφώνει, τῷ θανάτῳ λέγων· Ἰδοὺ ὁ Ναζωραῖος, τὰ κάτω συνέσεισε, καὶ τὴν γαστέρα μου τεμών, ἄπνουν νεκρόν φωνήσας ἤγειρε.	“Woe is me! Ποῦ ἡ τῶν Ἑβραίων ἄνοια; ποῦ ἡ ἀπιστία; ἕως πότε πλάνοι; ἕως πότε νόθοι; ὁρᾶτε τὸν θανέντα, φωνὴ ἐξαλλόμενον, καὶ ἀπιστεῖτε τῷ Χριστῷ; ὄντως υἱοὶ τοῦ σκότους πάντες ὑμεῖς!	What is this madness that has seized you, O ye Jews? Why do ye disbelieve? How long will ye wander in falsehood? Who has ever known a corpse raised from the grave? Once Elijah raised the dead, yet not from the tomb or four days after death. [KW]

Ὑπὲρ ἀναῤῥύσεως τῶν αἰχμαλώτων.	For the release of the captives.
Ὑπερ τῶν ἐν θαλάσσῃ καλῶς πλεόντων.	For those sailing the seas.
Ὑπὲρ τῶν ἐν ἀσθενείαις κατακειμένων.	For those laid up with illnesses.
Εὐξώμεθα καὶ ὑπὲρ εὐφορίας τῶν καρπῶν τῆς γῆς.	Let us also pray for the abundance of the fruits of the earth.
Καὶ ὑπὲρ πάντων τῶν προαναπαυσαμένων πατέρων καὶ ἀδελφῶν ἡμῶν, τῶν ἐνθάδε εὐσεβῶς κειμένων καὶ ἁπανταχοῦ ὀρθοδόξων.	And for all our fathers and brethren departed this life, those who lie here in peace, and the Orthodox everywhere.
