For if You desired sacrifice, I would give it; You will not be pleased with whole burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit, a broken and humbled heart God will not despise. Do good, O Lord, in Your good pleasure to Zion, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built; then You will be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer young bulls on Your altar. Ψαλμὸς ΞΔʹ (64).	Psalm 64 (65).
Σοὶ πρέπει ὕμνος, ὁ Θεός, ἐν Σιών, καὶ σοὶ ἀποδοθήσεται εὐχὴ ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.	It is fitting to sing a hymn to You in Zion, O God, and a vow shall be rendered to You in Jerusalem. [SAAS]
Εἰσάκουσον προσευχῆς μου· πρὸς σὲ πᾶσα σὰρξ ἥξει.	Hear my prayer; to You all flesh shall come.
Λόγοι ἀνόμων ὑπερεδυνάμωσαν ἡμᾶς, καὶ ταῖς ἀσεβείαις ἡμῶν σὺ ἱλάσῃ.	The words of lawless men overpowered us, and You will show mercy to our ungodliness.
Μακάριος ὃν ἐξελέξω καὶ προσελάβου· κατασκηνώσει ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς σου. Πλησθησόμεθα ἐν τοῖς ἀγαθοῖς τοῦ οἴκου σου· ἅγιος ὁ ναός σου, θαυμαστὸς ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ.	Blessed is he whom You choose and help; he shall dwell in Your courts. We shall be filled with the good things of Your house; holy is Your temple, wondrous in righteousness.
Ἐπάκουσον ἡμῶν, ὁ Θεός, ὁ σωτὴρ ἡμῶν, ἡ ἐλπὶς πάντων τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς καὶ τῶν ἐν θαλάσσῃ μακράν,	Hear us, O God our savior, the hope of all the ends of earth and of those far off at sea.
Ἑτοιμάζων ὄρη ἐν τῇ ἰσχύϊ αὐτοῦ, περιεζωσμένος ἐν δυναστείᾳ.	He who prepares mountains in His strength, who is girded with power.
Ὁ συνταράσσων τὸ κῦτος τῆς θαλάσσης, ἤχους κυμάτων αὐτῆς. ταραχθήσονται τὰ ἔθνη,	Who troubles the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.
Καὶ φοβηθήσονται οἱ κατοικοῦντες τὰ πέρατα ἀπὸ τῶν σημείων σου· ἐξόδους πρωΐας καὶ ἑσπέρας τέρψεις.	The nations shall be troubled, and those who inhabit the ends of the earth shall be afraid because of Your signs; You shall gladden the outgoings of morning and evening.
Ἐπεσκέψω τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐμέθυσας αὐτήν, ἐπλήθυνας τοῦ πλουτίσαι αὐτήν· ὁ ποταμὸς τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐπληρώθη ὑδάτων· ἡτοίμασας τὴν τροφὴν αὐτῶν, ὅτι οὕτως ἡ ἑτοιμασία.	You visited the earth and watered it; You enriched it abundantly; the river of God is filled with waters; You prepared their food, for thus is Your preparation thereof.
Τοὺς αὔλακας αὐτῆς μέθυσον, πλήθυνον τὰ γεννήματα αὐτῆς, ἐν ταῖς σταγόσιν αὐτῆς εὐφρανθήσεται ἀνατέλλουσα.	Water its furrows; multiply its fruits; with its raindrops the earth will be gladdened when it produces fruits.
Εὐλογήσεις τὸν στέφανον τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ τῆς χρηστότητός σου, καὶ τὰ πεδία σου πλησθήσονται πιότητος·	You will bless the crown of the year with Your goodness, and Your fields will be filled with fatness.
Πιανθήσεται τὰ ὄρη τῆς ἐρήμου, καὶ ἀγαλλίασιν οἱ βουνοὶ περιζώσονται.	The desert fruits will be made fat, and the hills will be girded with rejoicing.
Ἐνεδύσαντο οἱ κριοὶ τῶν προβάτων, καὶ αἱ κοιλάδες πληθυνοῦσι σῖτον· κεκράξονται, καὶ γὰρ ὑμνήσουσι.	The rams of the sheep are clothed with wool, and the valleys shall abound in wheat; they will shout and truly sing hymns. [SAAS]
Ψαλμὸς ΞΕʹ (65).	Psalm 65 (66).
Ἀλαλάξατε τῷ Κυρίῳ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ. Ψάλατε δὴ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ· δότε δόξαν ἐν αἰνέσει αὐτοῦ.	Shout to God, all the earth. Sing now to His name; give glory to His praise. [SAAS]
Εἴπατε τῷ Θεῷ· ὡς φοβερὰ τὰ ἔργα σου· ἐν τῷ πλήθει τῆς δυνάμεώς σου ψεύσονταί σε οἱ ἐχθροί σου.	Say to God, “How fearful are Your works; in the greatness of Your power Your enemies will lie to You.”
Πᾶσα ἡ γῆ προσκυνησάτωσάν σοι καὶ ψαλάτωσάν σοι, ψαλάτωσαν τῷ ὀνόματί σου.	Let all the earth worship You and sing to You; let them sing to Your name.
Δεῦτε καὶ ἴδετε τὰ ἔργα τοῦ Θεοῦ· φοβερὸς ἐν βουλαῖς ὑπὲρ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων.	Come and see the works of God; He is more fearful in His counsels than the sons of men.
Ὁ μεταστρέφων τὴν θάλασσαν εἰς ξηράν, ἐν ποταμῷ διελεύσονται ποδί. ἐκεῖ εὐφρανθησόμεθα ἐπʼ αὐτῷ.	Who turns the sea into dry land; they will cross over the river on foot. There we will be glad in Him.
Τῷ δεσπόζοντι ἐν τῇ δυναστείᾳ αὐτοῦ τοῦ αἰῶνος. οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἐπιβλέπουσιν, οἱ παραπικραίνοντες μὴ ὑψούσθωσαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς.	In Him who as Lord shall rule in His power forever; His eyes will look at the Gentiles; let not those who provoke Him be exalted in themselves.
Εὐλογεῖτε, ἔθνη, τὸν Θεὸν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀκουτίσασθε τὴν φωνὴν τῆς αἰνέσεως αὐτοῦ.	Bless our God, you Gentiles, and make the voice of His praise to be heard.
Τοῦ θεμένου τὴν ψυχήν μου εἰς ζωήν, καὶ μὴ δόντος εἰς σάλον τοὺς πόδας μου.	Who established my soul in life, and who did not permit my feet to be moved.
Ὅτι ἐδοκίμασας ἡμᾶς, ὁ Θεός, ἐπύρωσας ἡμᾶς, ὡς πυροῦται τὸ ἀργύριον.	For You, O God, tested us; You tried us in the fire, as silver is purified by fire.
Εἰσήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς τὴν παγίδα, ἔθου θλίψεις ἐπὶ τὸν νῶτον ἡμῶν.	You brought us into the snare; You laid affliction on our back.
Ἐπεβίβασας ἀνθρώπους ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς ἡμῶν, διήλθομεν διὰ πυρὸς καὶ ὕδατος, καὶ ἐξήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς ἀναψυχήν.	You put men on our heads; we went through fire and water, and You led us into a refreshing place.
Εἰσελεύσομαι εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου ἐν ὁλοκαυτώμασιν, ἀποδώσω σοι τὰς εὐχάς μου.	I will go into Your house with whole burnt offerings; I will pay You the vows
Ἃς διέστειλε τὰ χείλη μου καὶ ἐλάλησε τὸ στόμα μου ἐν τῇ θλίψει μου.	My lips uttered, and my mouth spoke in my affliction.
Ὁλοκαυτώματα μεμυελωμένα ἀνοίσω σοι μετὰ θυμιάματος καὶ κριῶν, ἀνοίσω σοι βόας μετὰ χιμάρων.	I will offer You whole burnt offerings full of marrow; with incense and rams, I will offer oxen with a young he-goat
Δεῦτε ἀκούσατε, καὶ διηγήσομαι, πάντες οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν Θεόν, ὅσα ἐποίησε τῇ ψυχῇ μου.	Come and hear, and I will describe to you, all who fear God, what things He did for my soul.
Πρὸς αὐτὸν τῷ στόματί μου ἐκέκραξα καὶ ὕψωσα ὑπὸ τὴν γλῶσσάν μου.	I cried to Him with my mouth, and I exalted Him with my tongue.
Ἀδικίαν εἰ ἐθεώρουν ἐν καρδίᾳ μου, μὴ εἰσακουσάτω μου Κύριος.	If I regarded wrongdoing in my heart, let not the Lord hear me.
Διὰ τοῦτο εἰσήκουσέ μου ὁ Θεός, προσέσχε τῇ φωνῇ τῆς δεήσεώς μου.	Therefore God heard me; He gave heed to the voice of my supplication.
Εὐλογητὸς ὁ Θεός, ὃς οὐκ ἀπέστησε τὴν προσευχήν μου καὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ.	Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me. [SAAS]
Ψαλμὸς ΞϚʹ (66).	Psalm 66 (67).
Ὁ Θεὸς οἰκτειρήσαι ἡμᾶς καὶ εὐλογήσαι ἡμᾶς, ἐπιφάναι τὸ πρόσωπον αὑτοῦ ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς, καὶ ἐλεήσαι ἡμᾶς.	May God be gracious to us, and bless us; may He cause His face to shine upon us. [SAAS]
Τοῦ γνῶναι ἐν τῇ γῇ τὴν ὁδόν σου, ἐν πᾶσιν ἔθνεσι τὸ σωτήριόν σου.	That we may know His way on the earth, Your salvation among all the Gentiles.
Ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοί, ὁ Θεός, ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοὶ πάντες.	Let the peoples give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.
Εὐφρανθήτωσαν καὶ ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἔθνη, ὅτι κρινεῖς λαοὺς ἐν εὐθύτητι καὶ ἔθνη ἐν τῇ γῇ ὁδηγήσεις.	Let the Gentiles be glad and greatly rejoice, for You shall judge the peoples in uprightness, and lead the Gentiles on the earth.
Ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοί, ὁ Θεός, ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοὶ πάντες.	Let the peoples give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.
Γῆ ἔδωκε τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς· εὐλογήσαι ἡμᾶς ὁ Θεός, ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν.	The earth yielded her fruit; may God, our God, bless us.

Ὡς ἐκλείπει καπνός, ἐκλιπέτωσαν· ὡς τήκεται κηρὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου πυρός, οὕτως ἀπολοῦνται οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ Θεοῦ.	As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish, as wax melts before the fire, so shall the sinners perish from the face of God.
Καὶ οἱ δίκαιοι εὐφρανθήτωσαν, ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ, τερφθήτωσαν ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ.	And let the righteous be glad; let them greatly rejoice before God; let them be glad with merriment.
ᾌσατε τῷ Θεῷ, ψάλατε τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ· ὁδοποιήσατε τῷ ἐπιβεβηκότι ἐπὶ δυσμῶν, Κύριος ὄνομα αὐτῷ, καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ.	Sing to God; sing to His name; make ready the way for Him who rides upon the sunset; His name is the Lord; and greatly rejoice before Him. Let them be troubled before His face.
Ταραχθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὀρφανῶν καὶ κριτοῦ τῶν χηρῶν· ὁ Θεὸς ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ.	He who is the father of orphans and the judge of widows; God is in His holy place.
Ὁ Θεὸς κατοικίζει μονοτρόπους ἐν οἴκῳ ἐξάγων πεπεδημένους ἐν ἀνδρείᾳ, ὁμοίως τοὺς παραπικραίνοντας, τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τάφοις.	God settles the solitary in a house; with courage He leads out those in bondage, likewise those who rebel, who dwell in tombs.
Ὁ Θεός, ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε ἐνώπιον τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἐν τῷ διαβαίνειν σε ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ.	O God, when You went forth before Your people, when You passed through the desert.
Γῆ ἐσείσθη, καὶ γὰρ οἱ οὐρανοὶ ἔσταξαν ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ Θεοῦ τοῦ Σινᾶ, ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ Θεοῦ Ἰσραήλ.	The earth shook; truly the heavens let the rain fall, before the face of the God of Sinai, before the face of the God of Israel.
Βροχὴν ἑκούσιον ἀφοριεῖς, ὁ Θεός, τῇ κληρονομίᾳ σου, καὶ ἠσθένησε, σὺ δὲ κατηρτίσω αὐτήν.	You, O God, willingly grant rain to Your inheritance, and it was weakened, but You restored it.
Τὰ ζῷά σου κατοικοῦσιν ἐν αὐτῇ· ἡτοίμασας ἐν τῇ χρηστότητί σου τῷ πτωχῷ, ὁ Θεός.	Your creatures are dwelling in it; in Your goodness, O God, You provide for the poor.
Κύριος δώσει ρῆμα τοῖς εὐαγγελιζομένοις δυνάμει πολλῇ.	The Lord will give His word to those proclaiming the gospel with great power.
Ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν δυνάμεων τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ, τῇ ὡραιότητι τοῦ οἴκου διελέσθαι σκῦλα.	He who is the King of hosts of the beloved, that He may divide the booty for the beauty of the house.
Ἐὰν κοιμηθῆτε ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κλήρων, πτέρυγες περιστερᾶς περιηργυρωμέναι, καὶ τὰ μετάφρενα αὐτῆς ἐν χλωρότητι χρυσίου.	If you fall asleep in the midst of your portions, You will have the wings of a dove, all covered with silver, and her back with yellow gold.
Ἐν τῷ διαστέλλειν τὸν ἐπουράνιον βασιλεῖς ἐπʼ αὐτῆς, χιονωθήσονται ἐν Σελμών.	When the heavenly One appoints kings over it, they shall become as white as the snow on Zalmon.
Ὄρος τοῦ Θεοῦ, ὄρος πῖον, ὄρος τετυρωμένον, ὄρος πῖον.	The mountain of God is a fertile mountain, a mountain richly curdled with milk, a fat mountain.
Ἱνατί ὑπολαμβάνετε, ὄρη τετυρωμένα, τὸ ὄρος, ὃ εὐδόκησεν ὁ Θεὸς κατοικεῖν ἐν αὐτῷ; καὶ γὰρ ὁ Κύριος κατασκηνώσει εἰς τέλος.	Why do you think about other mountains richly curdled with milk? This is the mountain God consented to dwell in; truly the Lord will lodge in it to the end.
Τὸ ἅρμα τοῦ Θεοῦ μυριοπλάσιον, χιλιάδες εὐθηνούντων· Κύριος ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν Σινᾷ ἦν, ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ.	God’s chariot is ten thousand-fold, thousands abounding in numbers; the Lord is among them at Sinai in the holy place.
Ἀνέβης εἰς ὕψος, ᾐχμαλώτευσας αἰχμαλωσίαν, ἔλαβες δόματα ἐν ἀνθρώποις, καὶ γὰρ ἀπειθοῦντας τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι.	You ascended on high, You led captivity captive; You received gifts for mankind, truly for the disobedient, so they may dwell there. The Lord God is blessed.
Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς εὐλογητός, εὐλογητὸς Κύριος ἡμέραν καθʼ ἡμέραν· κατευοδώσαι ἡμῖν ὁ Θεὸς τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν.	Blessed is the Lord from day to day; the God of our salvation will bring prosperity upon us.
Ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν, ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ σῴζειν, καὶ τοῦ Κυρίου Κυρίου αἱ διέξοδοι τοῦ θανάτου.	Our God is the God who saves us, and the issues of death belong to the Lord’s Lord.
Πλὴν ὁ Θεὸς συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ, κορυφὴν τριχὸς διαπορευομένων ἐν πλημμελείαις αὐτῶν.	But God will crush the heads of His enemies, the hairy head of those who continue in their transgressions.
Εἶπε Κύριος· ἐκ Βασὰν ἐπιστρέψω, ἐπιστρέψω ἐν βυθοῖς θαλάσσης.	The Lord said, “I will return from Bashan; I will return in the depths of the sea.”
Ὅπως ἂν βαφῇ ὁ πούς σου ἐν αἵματι, ἡ γλῶσσα τῶν κυνῶν σου ἐξ ἐχθρῶν παρʼ αὐτοῦ.	So your foot may be dipped in blood, the tongue of your dogs in the blood of your enemies.
Ἐθεωρήθησαν αἱ πορεῖαί σου, ὁ Θεός, αἱ πορεῖαι τοῦ Θεοῦ μου τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ.	Your processionals were seen, O God, the processionals of my God and my King in the holy place.
Προέφθασαν ἄρχοντες ἐχόμενοι ψαλλόντων ἐν μέσῳ νεανίδων τυμπανιστριῶν.	The rulers drew near, singers followed after; in the midst of them came young maidens playing timbrels.
Ἐν ἐκκλησίαις εὐλογεῖτε τὸν Θεόν, Κύριον ἐκ πηγῶν Ἰσραήλ.	Bless God in the churches, the Lord from the fountains of Israel.
Ἐκεῖ Βενιαμὶν νεώτερος ἐν ἐκστάσει, ἄρχοντες Ἰούδα ἡγεμόνες αὐτῶν, ἄρχοντες Ζαβουλών, ἄρχοντες Νεφθαλείμ.	There is the young Benjamin in ecstasy; the rulers of Judea are their leaders, the rulers of Zebulun and Naphtali.
Ἔντειλαι, ὁ Θεός, τῇ δυνάμει σου, δυνάμωσον, ὁ Θεός, τοῦτο, ὃ κατειργάσω ἐν ἡμῖν.	Give command, O God, to Your power; strengthen, O God, what You accomplished in us.
Ἀπὸ τοῦ ναοῦ σου ἐπὶ Ἰερουσαλὴμ σοὶ οἴσουσι βασιλεῖς δῶρα.	Because of Your temple at Jerusalem, kings will bring gifts to You.
Ἐπιτίμησον τοῖς θηρίοις τοῦ καλάμου· ἡ συναγωγὴ τῶν ταύρων ἐν ταῖς δαμάλεσι τῶν λαῶν τοῦ ἐγκλεισθῆναι τοὺς δεδοκιμασμένους τῷ ἀργυρίῳ· διασκόρπισον ἔθνη τὰ τοὺς πολέμους θέλοντα.	Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed, the herd of bulls among the heifers of the peoples, lest they shut out those proven in silver; scatter the nations that desire wars.
Ἥξουσι πρέσβεις ἐξ Αἰγύπτου, Αἰθιοπία προφθάσει χεῖρα αὐτῆς τῷ Θεῷ.	Ambassadors shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall draw near to stretch out its hand to God.
Αἱ βασιλεῖαι τῆς γῆς, ᾄσατε τῷ Θεῷ, ψάλατε τῷ Κυρίῳ.	Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth, sing to the Lord.
Ψάλατε τῷ Θεῷ τῷ ἐπιβεβηκότι ἐπὶ τὸν οὐρανὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατὰ ἀνατολάς· ἰδοὺ δώσει τῇ φωνῇ αὐτοῦ φωνὴν δυνάμεως.	Sing to God, who rides upon the heaven of heavens towards the east; behold, He will speak with His voice, a voice of power.
Δότε δόξαν τῷ Θεῷ· ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ἡ μεγαλοπρέπεια αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ ἐν ταῖς νεφέλαις.	Give glory to God; His magnificence is over Israel, and His power is in the clouds.

Ἐνεπάγην εἰς ἰλὺν βυθοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὑπόστασις· ἦλθον εἰς τὰ βάθη τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ καταιγὶς κατεπόντισέ με.	I am stuck in the mire of the sea, and there is no place to stand; I came into the depths of the sea, and the storm overwhelmed me.
Ἐκοπίασα κράζων, ἐβραγχίασεν ὁ λάρυγξ μου, ἐξέλιπον οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ἀπὸ τοῦ ἐλπίζειν με ἐπὶ τὸν Θεόν μου.	I grow weary with crying; my throat is hoarse; my eyes fail me from hoping in my God.
Ἐπληθύνθησαν ὑπὲρ τὰς τρίχας τῆς κεφαλῆς μου οἱ μισοῦντές με δωρεάν, ἐκραταιώθησαν οἱ ἐχθροί μου οἱ ἐκδιώκοντές με ἀδίκως· ἃ οὐχ ἥρπαζον, τότε ἀπετίννυον.	Those who hate me without a cause multiplied even more than the hairs of my head; my enemies who persecute me unjustly have become strong; then I paid for things I did not steal.
Ὁ Θεός, σὺ ἔγνως τὴν ἀφροσύνην μου καὶ αἱ πλημμέλειαί μου ἀπὸ σοῦ οὐκ ἀπεκρύβησαν.	O God, You know my foolishness, and my transgressions are not hidden from You.
Μὴ αἰσχυνθείησαν ἐπʼ ἐμὲ οἱ ὑπομένοντές σε, Κύριε, Κύριε τῶν δυνάμεων, μὴ ἐντραπείησαν ἐπʼ ἐμὲ οἱ ζητοῦντές σε, ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ,	O Lord, O Lord of hosts, let not those who wait for You be put to shame because of me; O God of Israel, let not those who seek You feel ashamed because of me.
Ὅτι ἕνεκά σου ὑπήνεγκα ὀνειδισμόν, ἐκάλυψεν ἐντροπὴ τὸ πρόσωπόν μου.	For Your sake I bore disgrace; humiliation covered my face.
Ἀπηλλοτριωμένος ἐγενήθην τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου καὶ ξένος τοῖς υἱοῖς τῆς μητρός μου,	I am become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s sons.
Ὅτι ὁ ζῆλος τοῦ οἴκου σου κατέφαγέ με, καὶ οἱ ὀνειδισμοὶ τῶν ὀνειδιζόντων σε ἐπέπεσον ἐπʼ ἐμέ.	For the zeal of Your house consumed me, and the insults of those who disgraced You fell on me.
Καὶ συνεκάλυψα ἐν νηστείᾳ τὴν ψυχήν μου, καὶ ἐγενήθη εἰς ὀνειδισμοὺς ἐμοί·	I bent down my soul with fasting, and it became a disgrace for me.
Καὶ ἐθέμην τὸ ἔνδυμά μου σάκκον, καὶ ἐγενόμην αὐτοῖς εἰς παραβολήν.	I also made sackcloth my garment, and I became a byword to them.
Κατʼ ἐμοῦ ἠδολέσχουν οἱ καθήμενοι ἐν πύλαις, καὶ εἰς ἐμὲ ἔψαλλον οἱ πίνοντες οἶνον.	Those who sit at the gate were talking against me, and those who drink wine were singing about me.
Ἐγὼ δὲ τῇ προσευχῇ μου πρὸς σέ, Κύριε· καιρὸς εὐδοκίας, ὁ Θεός, ἐν τῷ πλήθει τοῦ ἐλέους σου· ἐπάκουσόν μου, ἐν ἀληθείᾳ τῆς σωτηρίας σου.	But I, O Lord, pray with my prayer to You; it is the time of Your goodwill, O God, in the abundance of Your mercies; in the truth of Your salvation, hear me.
Σῶσόν με ἀπὸ πηλοῦ, ἵνα μὴ ἐμπαγῶ· ῥυσθείην ἐκ τῶν μισούντων με καὶ ἐκ τῶν βαθέων τῶν ὑδάτων.	Save me from the mire, that I may not be stuck therein; deliver me from those who hate me, and from the depths of the waters.
Μή με καταποντισάτω καταιγὶς ὕδατος, μηδὲ καταπιέτω με βυθός, μηδὲ συσχέτω ἐπʼ ἐμὲ φρέαρ τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ.	Let not a storm of water drown me; neither let the deep swallow me up, nor the well enclose its mouth upon me.
Εἰσάκουσόν μου, Κύριε, ὅτι χρηστὸν τὸ ἔλεός σου· κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν οἰκτιρμῶν σου ἐπίβλεψον ἐπʼ ἐμέ.	Hear me, O Lord, for Your mercy is good; according to Your abundant compassion, look upon me.
Μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπὸ τοῦ παιδός σου, ὅτι θλίβομαι, ταχὺ ἐπάκουσόν μου.	Turn not Your face from Your child, for I am afflicted; hear me speedily.
Πρόσχες τῇ ψυχῇ μου καὶ λύτρωσαι αὐτήν, ἕνεκα τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ῥῦσαί με.	Give heed to my soul and redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies.
Σὺ γὰρ γινώσκεις τὸν ὀνειδισμόν μου καὶ τὴν αἰσχύνην μου καὶ τὴν ἐντροπήν μου· ἐναντίον σου πάντες οἱ θλίβοντές με.	For You know my disgrace and my shame and humiliation; all who afflict me are before You.
Ὀνειδισμὸν προσεδόκησεν ἡ ψυχή μου καὶ ταλαιπωρίαν, καὶ ὑπέμεινα συλλυπούμενον, καὶ οὐχ ὑπῆρξε, καὶ παρακαλοῦντας, καὶ οὐχ εὗρον.	My soul expected disgrace and trouble, and I waited for someone to sympathize with me; but no one was there, and for comforters, but I found not one.
Καὶ ἔδωκαν εἰς τὸ βρῶμά μου χολὴν καὶ εἰς τὴν δίψαν μου ἐπότισάν με ὄξος.	They gave me gall for my food, and they gave me vinegar for my drink.
Γενηθήτω ἡ τράπεζα αὐτῶν ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν εἰς παγίδα καὶ εἰς ἀνταπόδοσιν καὶ εἰς σκάνδαλον.	Let their table become a snare before them, and a recompense and a stumbling block.
Σκοτισθήτωσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτῶν τοῦ μὴ βλέπειν, καὶ τὸν νῶτον αὐτῶν διαπαντὸς σύγκαμψον.	Let their eyes be darkened so they may not see, and bend down their backs continually.
Ἔκχεον ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς τὴν ὀργήν σου, καὶ ὁ θυμὸς τῆς ὀργῆς σου καταλάβοι αὐτούς.	Pour out Your anger upon them, and let the fury of Your wrath lay hold of them.
Γενηθήτω ἡ ἔπαυλις αὐτῶν ἠρημωμένη, καὶ ἐν τοῖς σκηνώμασιν αὐτῶν μὴ ἔστω ὁ κατοικῶν·	Let their dwelling place be laid waste, and let no one live in their tents.
Ὅτι ὃν σὺ ἐπάταξας, αὐτοὶ κατεδίωξαν, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ ἄλγος τῶν τραυμάτων μου προσέθηκαν.	For they pursued closely the one You slew, and they added to the pain of my wounds.
Πρόσθες ἀνομίαν ἐπὶ τῇ ἀνομίᾳ αὐτῶν, καὶ μὴ εἰσελθέτωσαν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ σου·	Add lawlessness to their lawlessness, and let them not enter into Your righteousness.
Ἐξαλειφθήτωσαν ἐκ βίβλου ζώντων καὶ μετὰ δικαίων μὴ γραφήτωσαν.	Let them be blotted out from the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
Πτωχὸς καὶ ἀλγῶν εἰμι ἐγώ· ἡ σωτηρία σου, ὁ Θεός, ἀντιλάβοιτό μου.	I am poor and suffering, and the salvation of Your presence, O God, lays hold of me.
Αἰνέσω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ Θεοῦ μου μετʼ ᾠδῆς, μεγαλυνῶ αὐτὸν ἐν αἰνέσει,	I will praise God’s name with a song; I will magnify Him in praise.
Καὶ ἀρέσει τῷ Θεῷ ὑπὲρ μόσχον νέον κέρατα ἐκφέροντα καὶ ὁπλάς.	And this shall be more pleasing to God than a young bull with horns and hooves.
Ἰδέτωσαν πτωχοὶ καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν· ἐκζητήσατε τὸν Θεόν, καὶ ζήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν.	Let the poor behold this, and be glad; seek God, and your soul shall live.
Ὅτι εἰσήκουσε τῶν πενήτων ὁ Κύριος καὶ τοὺς πεπεδημένους αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐξουδένωσεν.	For the Lord hears the poor, and does not despise His prisoners.
Αἰνεσάτωσαν αὐτὸν οἱ οὐρανοὶ καὶ ἡ γῆ, θάλασσα καὶ πάντα τὰ ἕρποντα ἐν αὐτῇ.	Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them.
Ὅτι ὁ Θεὸς σώσει τὴν Σιών, καὶ οἰκοδομηθήσονται αἱ πόλεις τῆς Ἰουδαίας, καὶ κατοικήσουσιν ἐκεῖ καὶ κληρονομήσουσιν αὐτήν·	Or God shall save Zion, and the cities of Judah shall be built; and they shall dwell therein, and inherit it.
Καὶ τὸ σπέρμα τῶν δούλων αὐτοῦ καθέξουσιν αὐτήν, καὶ οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ ὄνομά σου κατασκηνώσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ.	And the seed of His servants shall possess it, and those who love His name shall dwell in it. [SAAS]

Ὁ Θεός, εἰς τὴν βοήθειάν μου πρόσχες· Κύριε, εἰς τὸ βοηθῆσαί μοι σπεῦσον.	O God, [give heed] to help me. [O Lord, make haste to help me.] [SAAS]
Αἰσχυνθήτωσαν καὶ ἐντραπήτωσαν οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχήν μου· ἀποστραφήτωσαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ καταισχυνθήτωσαν οἱ βουλόμενοί μου κακά·	May those who seek my soul be dishonored and shamed; may those who plot evils against me be turned back and disgraced.
Ἀποστραφήτωσαν παραυτίκα αἰσχυνόμενοι οἱ λέγοντές μοι· εὖγε εὖγε.	May those be turned back immediately who shame me, saying, “Well done! Well done!”
Ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν ἐπὶ σοὶ πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντές σε, ὁ Θεός, καὶ λεγέτωσαν διαπαντός· μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ Κύριος, οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ σωτήριόν σου.	May all who seek You greatly rejoice and be glad in You, and let those who love Your salvation always say, “Let God be magnified.”
Ἐγὼ δὲ πτωχός εἰμι καὶ πένης· ὁ Θεός, βοήθησόν μοι. βοηθός μου καὶ ρύστης μου εἶ σύ· Κύριε, μὴ χρονίσῃς.	But I am poor and needy; O God, help me. You are my helper and deliverer, O Lord; do not delay. [SAAS]

Place them in a place of light, a place of refreshment, a place of peace from which every ailment, sorrow, and lamentation are banished, and from which the light of your countenance shines and gladdens all your saints from all ages. Bestow on them and on us your kingdom. Grant to them the participation of your ineffable and everlasting blessings, and the enjoyment of your endless and blissful life. For you are the life, the resurrection, and the peace of your departed servants, Christ our God, and to you we give glory, together with your Father who is from everlasting and your all holy, good, and life giving Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages.
