Save, O Lord, Your people and bless Your inheritance, granting victory to the faithful over the enemy, and by Your Cross protecting Your commonwealth. [SD]

You ransomed us from the curse of the Law by Your precious Blood. You were nailed to the Cross, and You were pierced with a spear, and You gushed forth immortality for humanity. Ἐν Παραδείσῳ με δεινῶς πεπτωκότα, τοῦ βροτοκτόνου τῇ πικρᾷ συμβουλίᾳ, ἐν τῷ Κρανίῳ πάλιν ἐξανέστησας Χριστέ, ξύλῳ ἰασάμενος, τὴν τοῦ ξύλου κατάραν, κτείνας τὸν ἀπάτῃ με, θανατώσαντα ὄφιν, καὶ ἐδωρήσω θείαν μοι ζωήν. I had a fatal fall in Eden by heeding * the poison counsel of the murderous devil. * But then You resurrected me on Calvary, O Christ. * By a tree you healed the curse of the tree, O my Savior, and you killed the serpent fiend who had killed me by deception. Your Church is arrayed in the holy blood of Your Martyrs who witnessed throughout the world, as though in purple and fine linen. Against You only have I sinned and done evil in Your sight; that You may be justified in Your words, and overcome when You are judged. For behold, I was conceived in transgressions, and in sins my mother bore me. Behold, You love truth; You showed me the unknown and secret things of Your wisdom. Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ, μνήμη τοῦ ἐν Ἁγίοις Πατρὸς ἡμῶν Εὐσταθίου, Πατριάρχου Ἀντιοχείας τῆς μεγάλης.	On this day we also commemorate our father among the Saints Eustathios, Patriarch of Antioch the Great.
