Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are magnified exceedingly; You clothe Yourself with thanksgiving and majesty, who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, who stretch out the heavens like a curtain; You are He who covers His upper chambers with water, who makes the clouds His means of approach, who walks on the wings of the winds, who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire. He established the earth on its stable foundation; it shall not be moved unto ages of ages. The deep like a garment is His covering; the waters shall stand upon the mountains; at Your rebuke they shall flee; at the sound of Your thunder, they shall be afraid. The mountains rise up, and the plains sink down to the place You founded for them. You set a boundary they shall not pass over; neither shall they return to cover the earth. You offered to God a sacrifice of praise, when you liturgized for your Master and Maker, as a most lawful priest. You also emulated His Passion, O Godly-minded Haralambos; for you offered yourself as an acceptable sacrifice to Him who for you had offered himself as a sacrifice to God the Father. Therefore you rejoice now with Him in heavenly dwellings, in the Church of the first-born. You also unceasingly intercede with Him, that we be delivered from wrath and tribulation, we who honor your all-festive memory and with ardent longing venerate your skull, which pours out countless miracles, and drives away pestilence and disease, and rewards us with salvation and healing. O Martyr of Christ extolled by all, * athlete St. Haralambos, you bravely entered the stadium and stood proclaiming Christ * to be God and human. * Therefore you were strengthened by the power of the Spirit, and thus against the foes contested well. * You received the crown of victory. * We all therefore * now honor your sacred skull. [SD]

Verse: My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart, understanding. [SAAS]

Today all the region of Hellas, which has borne the name of Christ, * is very proud for it has obtained the relic of your skull, * as a well of healings * and as freely gotten wealth, * a truly undepletable gift of grace, that drives away the bane * of diseases and the pestilence * from the people * who praise you and call you blest. O brethren, let us extol that spiritual diamond of unbreakable endurance, that most valorous athlete, Haralambos, the grandest of martyrs, who was crowned by the right hand of God, the King of all, with two crowns, that of priesthood and of martyrdom. He competed against the arrogant opponent, and raised a huge trophy against the error of paganism. And now that he is in heaven, he implores God to grant us forgiveness of sins, and to rid us of all diseases, inasmuch as we ardently seek his aid, and reverently kiss his holy relics, and observe his annual memorial with love and longing, and through him beseech God for expiation and the great mercy.
