Τῇ ἀνατραφείσῃ ἐν τῷ Ναῷ, εἰς τὰ Ἅγια τῶν Ἁγίων, τῇ περιβεβλημένῃ τὴν πίστιν καὶ τὴν σοφίαν, καὶ τὴν ἄμεμπτον παρθενίαν, ὁ Ἀρχιστράτηγος Γαβριήλ, προσέφερεν οὐρανόθεν, τὸν ἀσπασμὸν καὶ τὸ χαῖρε. Χαῖρε εὐλογημένη, χαῖρε δεδοξασμένη, ὁ Κύριος μετὰ σοῦ.	To you who were raised in the Temple, in the Holy of Holies, and who were clothed in faith and wisdom and measureless virginity, the Supreme Commander Gabriel from heaven brought the salutation, “Rejoice”; “Rejoice, O blessed Maiden! Rejoice, O glorified one! The Lord is with you.” [SD]

Conceived as I was in iniquities, I the prodigal dare not look up into heaven. But with confidence in Your benevolence, I cry out: O God be gracious unto me and save me. [SD]

Ἀθλήσεως καύχημα, καὶ στεφάνων ἀξίωμα, οἱ ἔνδοξοι Ἀθλοφόροι, περιβέβληνταί σε Κύριε· καρτερίᾳ γὰρ αἰκισμῶν, τοὺς ἀνόμους ἐτροπώσαντο, καὶ δυνάμει θεϊκῇ, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ τὴν νίκην ἐδέξαντο. Having risen in the East, and by his teachings * shedding light throughout the world, * the holy God-bearer is now * indeed adorned by his martyrdom, * divine Ignatius, who truly was held by God. Ἱερεμίαν ὁ Θεὸς ἐκ μήτρας ἁγιάσας, καὶ πρὸ τοῦ γεννηθῆναι γινώσκων ὡς προγνώστης, δοχεῖον ἔσεσθαι αὐτὸν Πνεύματος Ἁγίου, ἐμπιπλᾷ τοῦτον εὐθύς, ἐκ νεαρᾶς βιώσεως, καὶ Προφήτην τοῦτον, καὶ κήρυκα πᾶσιν ἀποστέλλει, προαγγέλλειν τὴν ἁγίαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ παρουσίαν. God sanctified Jeremiah from his mother’s womb, and as Prognosticator knew before he was born that he would be a vessel of the Holy Spirit, with which He filled him early in life. Then He sent him as a Prophet and herald to all, to announce His holy advent and appearance on earth. And when God was born of the Virgin and came to preach, He found a child who would become a worthy minister of His grace, divine Ignatius, who truly was held by God. [SD]

Τῇ ΚΘʹ τοῦ αὐτοῦ μηνός, ἡ Ἀνακομιδὴ τῶν Λειψάνων τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἱερομάρτυρος Ἰγνατίου τοῦ Θεοφόρου.	On January 29 was the translation of the relics of the holy hieromartyr Ignatius the God-bearer.
Τῇ αὐτῇ ἡμέρᾳ, μνήμη τῶν Ἁγίων ἑπτὰ Μαρτύρων, τῶν ἐν Σαμοσάτοις τελειωθέντων, Φιλοθέου, Ὑπερεχίου, Ἀβίβου, Ἰουλιανοῦ, Ῥωμανοῦ, Ἰακώβου καὶ Παρηγορίου.	On this day we also commemorate the holy seven martyrs who reposed in Samosata: Philotheos, Hyperechios, Habib, Julian, Roman, Iakovos, and Parigorios.

Lord God, the Lamb of God, the Son of the Father, who take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us, you who take away the sins of the world. And as good and benevolent God, forgive us any misdeeds we committed voluntarily or involuntarily, and grant us Your blessings in this world and in the next.

May Christ our true God, through the intercessions of His all-pure and all-immaculate holy Mother, the power of the precious and life-giving Cross, the protection of the honorable, bodiless powers of heaven, the supplications of the honorable, glorious prophet and forerunner John the Baptist, of the holy, glorious, and praiseworthy apostles, of the holy, glorious, and triumphant martyrs, of our righteous and God-bearing fathers, (local patron saint); of the holy and righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, and of all the saints, have mercy on us and save us, as He is good, benevolent, and merciful God.
