Σὲ τὴν μεσιτεύσασαν τὴν σωτηρίαν τοῦ γένους ἡμῶν, ἀνυμνοῦμεν Θεοτόκε Παρθένε· ἐν τῇ σαρκὶ γὰρ τῇ ἐκ σοῦ προσληφθείσῃ, ὁ Υἱός σου καὶ Θεὸς ἡμῶν τὸ διὰ σταυροῦ καταδεξάμενος πάθος, ἐλυτρώσατο ἡμᾶς, ἐκ φθορᾶς ὡς φιλάνθρωπος.	Virgin Theotokos, we sing hymns extolling you, through whom came humanity’s salvation. For your Son and our God, who is benevolent, accepted the Passion and the crucifixion, in the flesh that He assumed from you, and thus from destruction He rescued us. [GOASD]

Remembering our all-holy, immaculate, most blessed, and glorious Lady, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, with all the saints, let us commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God.

Σαρκὶ τοῦ θανάτου γευσάμενος Κύριε, τὸ πικρὸν τοῦ θανάτου, ἐξέτεμες τῇ ἐγέρσει σου, καὶ τὸν ἄνθρωπον κατʼ αὐτοῦ ἐνισχύσας, τῆς ἀρχαίας κατάρας τὴν ἧτταν ἀνακαλούμενος. Ὁ ὑπερασπιστὴς τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν, Κύριε δόξα σοι.	You tasted death in the flesh, O Lord. But by Your resurrection, You cut off its bitterness and strengthened humanity against it, by reversing the failure that resulted in the ancient curse. O Defender of our life, glory to You, O Lord! Ἕως πότε ψυχή μου, ἐπιμένεις τοῖς πταίσμασιν, ἕως τίνος λαμβάνεις, μετανοίας ὑπέρθεσιν, λάβε κατὰ νοῦν τὴν κρίσιν τὴν μέλλουσαν, καὶ βόησον Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ, Καρδιογνῶστα ἥμαρτον, ἀναμάρτητε Κύριε, ἐλέησόν με.	How long will you persist in your offenses, O my soul? Till when will you put off repenting? Call to mind the judgment that is coming, and cry aloud to Christ God: “O sinless Lord, who know the hearts of all, I have sinned. Have mercy on me.” [SD]

Ἐκλάμπετε διὰ τῆς πίστεως, ὑπέρλαμπροι φωστῆρες Ἅγιοι, τῶν ἀσθενούντων ἰατροί, Ἀθλοφόροι πανεύφημοι· τῶν τυράννων γὰρ τὰς αἰκίσεις μὴ δειλανδρήσαντες, τῶν εἰδώλων τὰς δυσφημίας κατηδαφίσατε, τρόπαιον ἔχοντες ἀήττητον, τὸν Σταυρὸν τῆς ἀληθείας.	By faith you shone forth, like most radiant lights, O Saints. You are physicians of the sick, O all-lauded medal-winners. Since your courage did not falter when faced with torture by tyrants, you brought down the blasphemies of the idols, for you bore the Cross of the truth as trophy invincible. [SD]

Πάρεσιν εὕραντο, τὴν ὁλοσώματον, οἱ παραλύσεσι, φθόνου σφιγγόμενοι, τὴν ἐν Σαββάτῳ Παραλύτου σφίγξιν κατανοοῦντες· λέγοντες· οὐκ ἔξεστι, θεραπεύειν τοῖς Σάββασι, λύειν τε τὴν πάτριον, τοῦ Σαββάτου κατάπαυσιν, τοῦ νόμου σε μὴ γνόντες Δεσπότην, καὶ θεραπευτὴν τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν.	They whom paralysis of envy choked and held * got for themselves a full-body paralysis; * for when they saw how You had healed the Paralytic on the Sabbath, * they said, “It is not allowed on the Sabbath to heal a man, * for this breaks the Sabbath rest that the fathers handed down to us,” * not recognizing You to be the Master * of the Law and the healer of our souls.
