Virgin Theotokos, we sing hymns extolling you, through whom came humanity's salvation. For your Son and our God, who is benevolent, accepted the Passion and the crucifixion, in the flesh that He assumed from you, and thus from destruction He rescued us. [GOASD]

For the Martyrs.

Mode 2.

You make Your saints shinier than gold, and You glorify Your devout ones, since You are good. Being implored by them, O Christ our God, bring peace into our lives, in Your love for man, and set forth our prayer as incense, O Lord who alone repose in the saints. [SD]

Verse: God is wondrous in His saints. [SAAS]

O victorious Athletes of the Lord, blessed is the ground that was watered with your blood, and holy are the dwellings that received your spirits. You prevailed over the enemy in the stadium, and you openly proclaimed Christ. We pray you will earnestly entreat Him for us, that He save our souls, since He is good. [SD]

Verse: To the saints on His earth, in them He magnified all His will. [SAAS]

O Apostles, Martyrs, Prophets, Hierarchs, Monastics and the Righteous, you finished the race and kept the faith. You speak freely to the Savior. We pray you entreat Him on our behalf, to save our souls, since He is good. [SD]

For the Martyrs.

Mode 2.

The saints were clothed in you ⁄ as you clothe heavens with clouds. ⁄ They endured the tortures of transgressors in this world and laid low the error of idolatry. ⁄ By their prayers, O Savior, ⁄⁄ set us free from the invisible enemy and save us. [OCA]

Εὐσπλαγχνίας ὑπάρχουσα.

O Giver of life, as God you have authority over all the dead and the living. Be attentive to the petitions of Your servants; show Your humane and tender mercies; and grant forgiveness to the souls of those who hoped in You, and whom You have transferred, O Lord, for You are transcendently good and compassionate. Holding the divine words of your godly-minded wife in your heart, Adrian, martyr of Christ, you ran to the tortures, receiving the crown with your spouse. [VPA]

Oikos.

The time was set for the faithful, the joyous day of the divine Adrian. Let us rejoice in a godly manner, crying out to him: Martyr of Christ, who has wisely fought the good fight and received from heaven the crown of righteousness, save all from the abuse of the adversary, sending us healing of souls and bodies and cleanse from heaven all the stain of the mind, receiving the crown with your spouse. On August 26 we commemorate the holy Martyrs Adrian and Natalie and their company.

On this day those who suffered with St. Adrian died by the sword.

On this day we also commemorate the Holy Martyrs Atticus and Sisinos, and our devout Father St. Hivistian.

On this day we also commemorate the devout monk St. Ioasaf, son of Anevir the king.

On this day the devout monk St. Tithoes reposed in peace.
